Marcellus Shale Commission Announces Public Meetings

According to Lt. Governor Jim Cawley, the four working group established by the Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission will hold meetings next week – all of which will be open to the public.

 

All meetings will take place at 10:00 a.m. in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg’s Capitol Complex:

 

Infrastructure Work Group

Chair:                  Barry Schoch – acting Secretary, Department of Transportation

Vice-Chair:          Chris Masciantonio – general manager of state government, U.S. Steel

 

Public Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Work Group

Chair:                  Mike Krancer – acting Secretary, Department of Environmental Protection

Vice-Chair:          Cynthia Carrow – vice president, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy

 

Local Impact and Emergency Response Work Group

Chair:                 Glenn Cannon – Director, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA)

Vice-Chair:          Jeff Wheeland – Lycoming County Commissioner

 

Economic and Workforce Development Work Group

Chair:                  Alan Walker – acting Secretary, Department of Community and Economic Development

Vice-Chair:          Gene Barr – vice president, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry
